Everyone loves to give their hair a boost and make it appear voluminous and thick. One thing you can do is wear hair extensions, but what if you don’t have any extensions laying around the house, or that you want to take a small break from using extensions?
There are a few things you can do to make the hair appear thicker, and there’s also a few little hair hacks you can use. Let’s get started!
Washing hair to add volume
When you’re washing your hair, do it in reverse. First thing you need to do is wet your hair and then apply conditioner like you normally would. Let the conditioner sit in your hair for 5-10 minutes, after which you need to rinse and shampoo the hair.
By doing this you’re giving your hair a good moisturizing treatment, followed by a wash that will lift them. When you’re washing your hair first and conditioning after your hair will become heavier and less voluminous.
Drying hair to add volume
When you want your hair to appear thicker and much more voluminous, you could try this way of drying your hair. All you need to do is apply some heat protection serum in your hair and grab a blow drier, then lean forward and flip your hair over your head, letting your hair hang like that while you dry them.
Having the hair like that will dry it and make them stay in that position trough the whole day. You can also use a hairspray to secure the style and make the hair even more voluminous without teasing them.
How to make a high ponytail without hair extensions
Are you bored of having a flat looking ponytail? What if there’s a way to lift the ponytail without having to clip in any extensions, or adding a ponytail extension? Here’s how to do it.
You will need 2 bobby-pins and 1-2 hair bands depending on how thick your hair are, thicker hair could possibly need 2 hair bands.
Pin in the bobby-pins right under the hair band, on either side. This will make the hair stand up much more than before.
And here you go, you’ll have a lovely high ponytail that has more volume and appears thicker than it did before.
